Grand Canyon Re-Opens, at least temporarily

The Department of the Interior and several states have made agreements to temporarily keep a handful of national parks open, including the Grand Canyon, during the government shutdown. The states will pay to keep these parks open for up to 10 days while they anxiously await Congress to approve a funding deal. The deal for Arizona and the Grand Canyon is said to be $651,000 for seven days, ranging from October 12th – 18th.
